THE RBS SIX NATIONS CUP WILL BE AT THE TOURNAMENT!!

 Thanks to our sponsors, Rhino Rugby, the RBS Six Nations Trophy will be present at the Rhino Mendip Sevens during the afternoon!

Now here's what YOU have to do to be photographed with it.  Rhino are donating a scrum machine to the Khelo Rugby project in Kolkata.  The plan is to pack the surrounding space with any spare rugby kit - shirts, scrum caps, anything - that you can bring.

Welcome to the Rhino Mendip Sevens, a Junior Rugby Sevens competition open to clubs everywhere!

Looking for a rugby tour to Somerset, the West Country, or Weston-super-Mare?

The next Rhino Mendip Sevens will be held at Winscombe Rugby Club on Sunday 29th April 2012. The competition is held at U13, U14, and U15.

Winscombe RFC is near Weston-super-Mare in Somerset which has plentiful accommodation for touring sides.

Obviously not brilliant, BUT the pitches are holding up well and the forecast has actually moderated somewhat.  The MetOffice and XCWeather forecasts  also differ, with XCWeather much milder.  On balance, we're going ahead at the moment, but bring teams tents and bring layers and change clothing for players!

09/04/12 - ONE PLACE LEFT AT EACH AGE GROUP.  Due to late withdrawals one place has come available at each age group. Get in touch via the contacts page and make us an offer - pools will be re-seeded.

30/03/12 - PROVISIONAL POOLS ARE NOW POSTED ON THE AGE GROUP PAGES.

09/03/12 - Welcome to Hornets at U13 and Wasps and Clifton at U14 - which means U13 is provisionally full and there's just one space left at U14.    Thanks also to Martin Worrow of Supreme Engraving in Blackheath for his support, and for providing this year's trophies!

02/03/12 DUE TO UNPRECENDENTED DEMAND WE ARE OPENING ANOTHER GROUP UP AT U14.  Please equire asap.  Once space remains at U13.

06/02/12 - South Gower and Clevedon, welcome.  U14 and U15 now provisionally full and only one space at U13.  However, please enquire if you're interested in case anyone drops out.

24/01/12 - Welcome to touring sides Chelmsford and Ton Mawr!  Also Chew Valley, Thornbury, Wellington, and St Mary's OB.  Limited places now in all age groups.

22/11/11 - The tournament is filling up nicely. Entries so far from Bath, Droitwich, Clifton amongst others.  If you are thinking of entering the U15 competition in particular we recommend you contact us as soon as possible.

09/11/11 -  Good news for touring sides - Teamlink are now running a package offer to the Mendip Sevens!  See here for details.

16/09/11 - Entries are coming in already.  Touring sides are always particularly welcome - if you're thinking of touring then please get in touch for help with local accommodation and opposition.
